### Why Evidence-Based Mindfulness Now? While interest in mindfulness is expanding, opportunities to systematically learn scientifically backed programs remain limited. International Mindfulness Center JAPAN (hereafter IMCJ, operated by Kuu Inc.) will launch various evidence-based mindfulness courses simultaneously online starting in May 2026.

IMCJ's courses provide evidence-based curricula in Japanese. This term, 8 types and a total of 12 classes will be offered, including MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction), MBCT (Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, 3 types), Breathworks, MB-EAT (Mindfulness-Based Eating Awareness Training), 4FM (Four Foundations of Mindfulness), and IMP (Interpersonal Mindfulness Program). By providing multiple time slots in the morning and evening, a system has been arranged to make it easier to attend according to work and family circumstances.

### List of Offered Courses **MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) - 5 Classes**

Developed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn in 1979, MBSR is a program that has accumulated abundant research evidence regarding its effectiveness for stress, anxiety, and chronic pain. It serves as the foundation for various mindfulness programs and is an essential required experience for those considering participating in an MBSR teacher training program in the future.
