Mirai Resort Co., Ltd. (Location: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representatives: Fumiya Suzuki, Nobuhito Mikura), which operates the ryokan "Shikinoori Hanaya" in Hirugami Onsenkyo, Achi Village, Nagano Prefecture, will newly open "Yagokoro Sake Bar Jizake no Yakata," an experience-based shop where visitors can "drink and choose" Shinshu local sake, as a new tourist hub on July 11, 2026. Sake sales will be handled by its affiliate, MGH Co., Ltd., which holds a liquor sales license.

This facility is an experience-based shop that combines a tasting corner and an outdoor trailer house-style Sake Bar with a souvenir shop selling Shinshu local sake from various breweries in Nagano Prefecture. It offers a new souvenir experience where tourists can discover, taste, and take home their favorite bottle as a travel memento.

Achi Village and Hirugami Onsenkyo are leading tourist destinations in Nagano Prefecture, known for "Japan's Best Starry Sky." According to data released by Achi Village, approximately 1.01 million tourists visit annually (2023 actual results). However, there has been a challenge of limited places to enjoy during the time between check-in and stargazing, or after stargazing while exploring the hot spring town.

The newly opening "Yagokoro Sake Bar Jizake no Yakata" is a new tourist hub that transforms the "empty time" before and after stargazing into regional attractions. Through the sale and tasting experience of Shinshu local sake and the outdoor Sake Bar, it aims to connect tourists with local breweries, enhance the overall stay value of Hirugami Onsen, and promote local circulation.

An Experience-Based Shop to "Drink, Choose, and Take Home" Shinshu Local Sake

"Yagokoro Sake Bar Jizake no Yakata" is not just a sake bar, but also a souvenir shop selling Shinshu local sake from breweries across Nagano Prefecture. It will operate as an experience-based shop where visitors can taste desired brands on the spot and choose their favorite bottle.

At the time of opening, approximately 20 types of Shinshu local sake will be available, with plans to gradually expand to a maximum of 40 types. The lineup will include popular brands such as Yonezawa Brewery's "Imanishiki," local Iida's "Kikusui," and "Daishinshu," as well as "Shichiwara," "Masumi," and "Yoake Mae."

The tasting corner will offer a menu that can be enjoyed casually starting from 250 yen per glass. Both sake beginners and enthusiasts can choose souvenirs while tasting.

Enjoy the taste you discovered on your trip, even at home.

We propose a new souvenir experience: "drink, choose, and take home."

A Hub for Information Dissemination of Regional Breweries, Fostering Encounters with Shinshu Local Sake

Nagano Prefecture has many unique sake breweries, but there are limited places where tourists can compare and taste multiple brands at once.

This facility will create new points of contact between tourists and regional breweries by gathering local sake from various parts of Shinshu in one place.

For tourists, it will be a place to discover their favorite bottle while enjoying their time in the hot spring town before stargazing. For breweries, it will be a new PR and sales channel to introduce their brands to tourists visiting Hirugami Onsen.

In the future, we plan to consider tasting events by prefectural breweries, events with brewery representatives, and pairing plans with local ingredients, to develop Hirugami Onsen as a hub for Shinshu local sake information.

A Hot Spring Town to Enjoy Even Before and After "Japan's Best Starry Sky"

Achi Village and Hirugami Onsenkyo are known for "Japan's Best Starry Sky" and attract many tourists from all over the country for stargazing.

However, tourist experiences tend to be concentrated on accommodations and stargazing, and there have been limited places to enjoy while exploring the hot spring town during the time between check-in and stargazing, or after stargazing.

This renovation focuses on that "empty time in the hot spring town."

Through tasting local sake, choosing souvenirs, and spending time at the outdoor Sake Bar, we will create opportunities for guests to naturally venture outside their accommodations.

This initiative aims to propose ways to enjoy Hirugami Onsen that are not limited to just accommodation and stargazing, thereby enhancing the overall stay value of the hot spring town and promoting local circulation.

Creating Vibrancy with an Outdoor Trailer House-Style Sake Bar Where Guests Can Visit in Yukata

An outdoor trailer house-style Sake Bar will be installed in the outdoor area.

It will be an open space where guests can casually stop by in their yukata to enjoy Shinshu local sake and gelato, with a self-checkout system to make it easy for tourists to use.

The reason for adopting a trailer house is to utilize it as a "flexible tourist hub" whose purpose can be flexibly changed according to the season and regional events.

It will be used as a resting spot during the spring peach blossom season, and in the summer, it will sell local sake and gelato and serve as a base for nighttime events. We plan to operate it in accordance with Hirugami Onsen's tourism demand, including future regional events, markets, and brewery collaboration projects.

It will contribute to the overall vibrancy of the hot spring town as a place open not only to ryokan guests but also to users of surrounding accommodations and local residents.

Evening Hours and Events Planned During the Obon Period

From August 12 (Wed) to 16 (Sun), during the Obon holiday period, the outdoor Sake Bar will be open in the evening.

During this period, in addition to selling and tasting Shinshu local sake, events such as gelato sales and bingo tournaments will be held, enjoyable for families and those who do not drink sake.

We aim to create a space where a wide range of tourists can enjoy themselves as a casual stopover spot for exploring the hot spring town.

Representative's Comment

Fumiya Suzuki, Representative Director, Mirai Resort Co., Ltd.

We wanted our guests visiting Hirugami Onsen to enjoy encounters with Shinshu local sake in addition to the starry sky and hot springs.

Through the experience of "drinking and choosing," we hope to provide customers with travel memories to take home and create new connections for local breweries. We want to gradually foster such a cycle from this place.

Furthermore, by allowing guests to enjoy their time in the hot spring town before stargazing, we aim to connect this to increased circulation and vibrancy in Hirugami Onsen as a whole.

We will continue to propose ways to enjoy Hirugami Onsen that go beyond just accommodation, in cooperation with the local community.
