Mito Plaza Hotel in Mito City, Ibaraki Prefecture, will construct a new garden stage, 'PLAZA GARDEN', as part of its 25th-anniversary opening project.

In conjunction with this, a 'PLAZA GARDEN Opening Preview' for media personnel, regional supporters, and corporate network associates will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026.

Moving to a New Stage for the 25th Anniversary.

The 'Mito Plaza Hotel', a forest guest house nestled in nature, featuring interior design by John David Edison.

Since its opening in 2001, Mito Plaza Hotel has walked alongside the local community through weddings, restaurants, banquets, and accommodations.

As we celebrate our 25th anniversary, we aim to create new value not just as a 'hotel', but as a 'regional cultural exchange hub' that connects people with nature, people with people, and the community with culture.

The newly born 'PLAZA GARDEN' is a new project that symbolizes this vision.

The Concept is 'Forest Stage Blessed by the Forest'

A new garden stage where nature, light, video, and people intersect. You can also view the completed site at the private viewing.

'PLAZA GARDEN' is a new celebration space born in the forest leading up to the chapel.

On the wood deck, after-ceremonies with family and friends are held. During the day, gentle time flows amidst sunlight filtering through the trees, while at night, a magical atmosphere unfolds through light staging.

The concept is 'Weddings blessed by the forest'.

It is designed as a place where people connect and blessings are born while feeling the breath of nature.

Furthermore, it is envisioned to be utilized as a 'Forest Stage' where diverse exchanges are generated, not only for weddings but also for regional events, markets, concerts, workshops, and seasonal plans.

The 'Time of the Forest' Changing Between Day and Night

At PLAZA GARDEN, different spatial experiences unfold depending on the time of day.

Daytime - Morning awakening in the forest -

A peaceful garden space with sunlight filtering through the trees. We produce a time where people and nature gently connect, such as through yoga and wellness workshops.

Nighttime - The forest speaks at night -

As night falls, soft lights emerge among the trees, turning it into a magical night garden with candles and lighting. For night weddings, we create a 'memorable landscape of blessings'.

'Gate of Blessing' - A Garden of Blessings Opening to the Forest -

Produces celebration scenes, such as flower showers after the wedding ceremony.

In the center of the garden, the 'Gate of Blessing' is installed as a new symbol.

It was designed as a gate that connects the existing environment with nature, wrapping people's emotions and blessings.

Connecting the chapel to the forest, it produces a new blessing space that links 'milestones of life' with 'nature'.

Regarding the Opening Preview Event

On the day of the event, we are planning a magical garden illumination ceremony, a staging experience with bride and groom models, drone video staging, a photo session, an introduction to 25th-anniversary plans, and a networking reception.

Additionally, by preparing new restaurant project menus, the content allows you to experience the 'next 25 years' proposed by Mito Plaza Hotel.
