Mitsui Fudosan Residential Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Toru Kamura), in collaboration with the Japanese Olympic Committee (JOC) (Location: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Seiko Hashimoto), which Mitsui Fudosan Co., Ltd. supports as a TEAM JAPAN Gold Community Development Partner, and Ajinomoto Co., Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Shigeo Nakamura), which supports the physical and mental conditioning of TEAM JAPAN, held the 'Wataru Morishige "Kachimeshi®" Talk Show' on March 20, 2026, at 'TEAM JAPAN 2020 VILLAGE' within Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport HARUMI FLAG. This event was conducted as part of the WANGAN ACTION project led by Mitsui Fudosan Residential, aimed at revitalizing the Tokyo waterfront area (Kachidoki, Tsukishima, Toyomi, Harumi, Toyosu, etc.). By hosting the event at 'TEAM JAPAN 2020 VILLAGE,' which was opened through the cooperation of Mitsui Fudosan Residential and the JOC on the site of the former Tokyo 2020 Olympic Village, the event served to convey the values of the Olympics and sports, further promoting 'community development utilizing the power of sports' in the Tokyo waterfront area. The event was linked to the 'Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics TEAM JAPAN Support Fair' held by the three organizations until February 28 (Sat), and approximately 30 people participated in the 'Kachimeshi®' talk show. At the beginning of the event, speed skater Wataru Morishige appeared and commented, 'Thank you very much for your support during the Olympics.' Following this, the 'Kachimeshi®' talk show with Ajinomoto Co., Inc. was held. While reflecting on meals and nutritional support at the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, participants learned about the importance of food and nutrition in sports and key points athletes focus on. Participants showed great interest in the behind-the-scenes stories and the eating habits of athletes that are not usually seen. Furthermore, elementary and junior high school students, along with their parents, learned techniques for easily practicing 'Kachimeshi®' at home, such as what to be careful about in their daily meals and what kind of food is best to eat. During the guest talk session after the 'Kachimeshi®' talk show, Morishige spoke about his 'encounter with speed skating in childhood' and his 'impressions of this Olympics and enthusiasm for the next Olympics,' which the participants listened to with great interest. During the Q&A session, questions such as 'How do you spend your time before a match and do you interact with other athletes?' were asked. Morishige left a strong impression by sharing his experiences at the Olympics, stating, 'I communicated with the skating team to relax my nerves while focusing on the competition.' Afterward, participants enjoyed interacting with Morishige through a lottery for signed goods and a commemorative photo session. Finally, Morishige concluded the event by saying, 'I would be happy if you became even a little more interested in winter sports through today's event. Please continue to support us.'
