Announcement of Sponsorship Agreement with Athlete Kotaro Tsunematsu

Mitsuuroko Group Holdings Co., Ltd. has announced an agreement to sponsor Kotaro Tsunematsu, who signed a minor league contract with the Chicago Cubs of Major League Baseball (MLB).

Tsunematsu began playing baseball in first grade and spent his elementary school years from fourth to sixth grade in New York, USA. At Keio Shonan Fujisawa Junior and Senior High School, he led the team as captain. At Keio University, he made his debut in the Tokyo Big6 Baseball League in the spring of his third year and was appointed as the cleanup hitter in the spring of his fourth year.

He signed a minor league contract with the MLB's Chicago Cubs in January 2026. Mitsuuroko Group decided on this partnership based on deep empathy for Tsunematsu's stance of challenging himself on the global stage, as well as his character, which combines athletic prowess with intelligence and internationality. Moving forward, in addition to supporting his athletic activities, we will work together to share the values and significance of sports with local communities and the next generation through various initiatives and outreach.
