MiYO ORGANIC Co., Ltd. (Location: Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture; CEO: Miyo Yamamoto; hereinafter "MiYO ORGANIC") announces that eco-friendly amenities aimed at reducing plastic usage have been introduced in all guest rooms at Renaissance Resort Okinawa (Location: 3425-2 Yamada, Onna-son, Kunigami-gun, Okinawa Prefecture; General Manager: Kiyoshi Iraha).
**Background of Introduction**
Based on Marriott International's sustainability and social impact guidelines, "Serve 360: Doing Good In Every Direction," Renaissance Resort Okinawa is promoting efforts to eliminate plastic. As part of this initiative, MiYO ORGANIC's amenities were introduced as the hotel's brand standard. Since its birth in 2020, MiYO ORGANIC has valued the balance between ethical manufacturing and comfort. While maintaining the value of an exciting resort stay, it realizes a sustainable stay that harmonizes with the rich nature of Okinawa.
**About the Introduced Amenities**
Renaissance Resort Okinawa has introduced environmentally friendly amenities. The toothbrushes and hair combs use 100% recycled plastic, and the cotton swabs feature paper handles. Additionally, the packaging uses FSC-certified paper materials, achieving a reduction in plastic usage.
Despite the sustainable design, the specifications do not compromise the high-quality stay experience unique to Renaissance Resort Okinawa. Furthermore, regarding the toothbrushes, while bamboo was an option, they adopted ones made from recycled plastic to suppress the risk of mold growth, taking into account the highly humid climate characteristics of Okinawa.
