Mizkan to Host 'Ajifes' Event in Fukuoka: Experience 'Fried Horse Mackerel x Ajipon'

Mizkan Co., Ltd. and Fukuoka-based seafood company Sanyo Co., Ltd. are collaborating to host a free event called 'Ajifes' on June 7 (Sun) and June 9 (Tue), 2026, in Fukuoka City. The event allows visitors to experience the new deliciousness of 'fried horse mackerel (ajifry) with Ajipon.'

The venue will offer free tastings of freshly fried horse mackerel topped with Ajipon, as well as a photo spot featuring a 3-meter-tall giant Ajipon bottle and various Ajipon-related merchandise. The event will also re-introduce the 'high compatibility' between fried horse mackerel and Ajipon, which was verified by the 'Leo' taste sensor AI in 2023. Through this event, Mizkan aims to propose a 'new option' for enjoying fried horse mackerel.

Ajipon, launched on November 10, 1964, marks its 62nd anniversary this year. It is a unique seasoning that blends citrus juice, brewed vinegar, and soy sauce.
