ZENB Noodles (Round) Renewed with the Best 'Mochi-like' Texture Ever!

ZENB JAPAN Co., Ltd. (ZENB), a member of the Mitsukan Group located in Half Tea City, Aichi Prefecture, has renewed its 'ZENB Noodles (Round)' to achieve the best 'mochi-like' texture ever in the history of ZENB Noodles.

The renewed product will be available on the ZENB official website (https://zenb.jp) and other e-commerce sites (Amazon, Rakuten Marketplace, Yahoo! Shopping, Qoo10) starting from the shipment on July 6, 2026 (Monday). Retail stores have already started to introduce the renewed product.

Pursuing deliciousness and making the noodles more suitable for daily use

'ZENB Noodles' are the world's first*2 noodles made from 100% yellow split peas, including the thin skin. With cumulative sales exceeding 20 million servings*4, these noodles are loved for being low in carbohydrates, rich in dietary fiber, and high in protein*5, making them a guilt-free main dish.

ZENB aims to realize a new food lifestyle that combines 'deliciousness' and 'good for the body' without the need for compromise. In response to customer feedback regarding the unique flavor and texture of beans, ZENB has been working on improvements.

In this renewal, the manufacturing process has been reviewed, and a new method of kneading the dough thoroughly has been introduced to improve the mixing of the dough. As a result, the texture has been improved to be more 'mochi-like,' 'springy,' and 'smooth,' while reducing powderiness and the bean flavor. These noodles are now more versatile and can be enjoyed with various menus, not just pasta. They are a main dish that can be enjoyed not just for health reasons but also for their deliciousness, making them a natural choice that continues to be enjoyed.

The pre-cooking weight per serving is 85g for regular pasta and 80g for ZENB Noodles.

Based on analysis, one serving of ZENB Noodles contains 33.1g of carbohydrates, 217kcal of energy, 9.5g of dietary fiber, and 13.7g of protein.

'ZENB Noodles' are gluten-free*3 noodles made only from yellow split peas, without using wheat flour.

Compared to regular pasta, these noodles have lower calories and carbohydrates, making them a guilt-free main dish with a low glycemic index (GI)*6.

The renewed noodles have significantly improved texture compared to the previous version.

The mouthfeel is smooth, with a noticeable chewy texture and pleasant bite when chewed. The al dente-like firmness and chewy texture are well-balanced, and the texture remains fresh even after being mixed with sauce. The absence of powderiness gives a natural deliciousness similar to high-quality pasta. Simple dishes like Pomodoro and Aglio e Olio are, of course, excellent, and they also pair well with rich meat-based sauces like ragù, making them versatile for a wide range of menus.
