Suzunoya Kimono, part of the Maruyama Kyosai Group, will open a new location for the 'Suzunoya Kimono Academy,' which has 55 years of experience in kimono dressing instruction, in Takatsu-ku, Kawasaki, in June 2026.
To commemorate this, we are launching a limited-time campaign offering free tuition for the first and second terms of the basic course, providing an opportunity for more people to take their first step in learning kimono dressing.
As a kimono dressing school where beginners can learn with peace of mind, Suzunoya Kimono Academy has been supporting individuals with desires such as 'I want to dress myself in a kimono,' 'I want to re-learn the basics,' or 'I want to be able to dress others in the future.' With our unique step-by-step curriculum, we provide an environment where even beginners can acquire techniques without difficulty, continuing to provide 'te-musubi' (hand-tying) instruction that does not rely on extra tools in a small-group setting.
Thanks to your support, Suzunoya Kimono Academy has reached its 55th anniversary. To mark this milestone and show our appreciation for your continued patronage, we are running a campaign where tuition for the basic course (first and second terms) is free.
Three features of Suzunoya Kimono Academy: 1. Small-group, careful instruction to get started right away. 2. Mastery of 'te-musubi' dressing without special tools. 3. A step-by-step curriculum based on 55 years of track record.
[Limited-time Campaign] Tuition for the basic course (first and second terms) is free. (Textbook and certificate fees only: 3,300 yen each, tax included).
