Tansu-ya, a specialty store for reused kimonos, will hold its major summer event, the 'Summer Tansu-ya Festival,' at two venues in Asakusa and Haneda in June 2026. The event offers a wide range of products and plans to make the summer kimono season more comfortable and stylish, catering to everyone from beginners to kimono enthusiasts.
A highlight of this event is the new material kimono 'Sankiryo,' independently developed by the Maruyama Kyosai Group. Using Nagahama Sawayaka Chirimen, it combines breathability and lightness to ensure comfort even in summer. It is proposed as a next-generation kimono that can be worn across three seasons: spring, summer, and early autumn.
Furthermore, this event features extensive customization options. We offer WAKKA reversible half-width obi with about 70 designs to choose from, custom zori sandals where you can freely combine bases and straps, and trial sessions for summer undergarments. Additionally, an order event for original Nagoya obi by 'Yurakuan,' which has over 70 years of history in Kyoto, will be held. You can create a one-of-a-kind obi based on your own designs.
For the first time, we will conduct a stamp rally across both venues. Those who visit both venues will receive a 50% OFF coupon valid at all stores. We look forward to seeing you at both locations.
