Moderna, Inc. (hereinafter "Moderna") today announced that Kei Kaneda, General Manager of Moderna Japan Co., Ltd. (Minato-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter "Moderna Japan"), Moderna's Japanese subsidiary, has been appointed Representative Director and President, effective April 1, 2026.

Effective April 1, 2026, Ms. Kaneda will assume the role of Representative Director and President, and as General Manager, she will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire business operations of Moderna Japan. Moderna will continue its efforts to deliver the value of mRNA medicines, contributing to the health of the people of Japan, in close collaboration with various stakeholders, including health authorities.

Patrick Bergstedt, who previously served as Representative Director of Moderna Japan, will retire from this position effective April 1, 2026, and will continue to serve Moderna as Senior Vice President and General Manager, Asia & Emerging Markets.
