Hyogo Prefecture to Host 'Monozukuri Innovation HYOGO2026 (MI Hyogo)' to Promote Co-creation Between Local Manufacturers and Startups

Hyogo Prefecture will host 'Monozukuri Innovation HYOGO2026 (MI Hyogo)' on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, aimed at promoting collaboration between startups from inside and outside the prefecture and local manufacturing companies. The event aims to create opportunities for co-creation by sharing assets such as technologies, facilities, and customer bases held by large companies in Hyogo, as well as the specific challenges they face. The theme for this event is 'Physical AI.' Discussions will focus on business opportunities and the potential for social implementation, particularly in the fields of robotics, manufacturing DX, and AI x hardware. Furthermore, the event will go beyond mere information sharing by providing a space for direct dialogue between companies and startups, leading to continuous relationship building and future collaboration considerations. In recent years, there has been growing expectation for new business creation and technology implementation through collaboration with startups in the manufacturing sector, particularly in AI, robotics, marine, and healthcare fields. On the other hand, startups often voice concerns such as not knowing which companies they can collaborate with, difficulty in seeing what assets large companies possess, and difficulty in imagining what themes they can actually collaborate on. Therefore, this event aims to be a place where participants can concretely imagine 'which company they can collaborate with and what kind of business partnership is possible' by presenting specific challenges, assets, and themes for co-creation held by local companies.
