A survey by the General Incorporated Association Snoring Apnea Improvement Association targeted 200 individuals with experience purchasing snoring prevention pillows to understand their effectiveness and satisfaction. The results showed that 55.0% of respondents felt an improvement in their snoring. The leading reason for purchasing a snoring prevention pillow was feedback from family or partners (33.3%), indicating a strong motivation to alleviate nuisance to others. The most popular pillow types were those designed to promote side-sleeping (29.0%) and those with height adjustment features (23.0%), suggesting a demand for both specific sleep positions and personalized fit. However, common dissatisfactions included the time it took to get accustomed to the pillow (19.5%) and experiencing neck or shoulder pain (17.1%), which were more prominent than the lack of perceived effect on snoring (16.4%) or poor sleep comfort (10.7%). When considering a next purchase, respondents prioritized sleep comfort (28.1%) significantly more than scientific evidence (14.5%), highlighting the importance of comfort for sustained use.
