Morse Micro, a global leader in Wi-Fi HaLow chip vendors, has announced the 'MM8108-M20', a high-power Wi-Fi HaLow module designed to help product development teams in the US and Canada bring long-range, low-power Wi-Fi HaLow devices to market more quickly. Based on the second-generation Wi-Fi HaLow SoC, the MM8108, the MM8108-M20 delivers sub-GHz Wi-Fi connectivity in a compact 18.5 mm x 14 mm module. Designed for the 902-928 MHz band, the module features an external high-power amplifier providing up to 28.5 dBm of transmit output power. These enhancements provide powerful long-range performance and superior receive sensitivity for product teams developing connected devices in environments where traditional Wi-Fi is insufficient. FCC/IC certified, the MM8108-M20 is ideal for applications such as surveillance cameras and access points. It supports a maximum PHY rate of 43.3 Mbps with an 8 MHz channel bandwidth and features flexible host interfaces including USB 2.0 High-Speed, SDIO 2.0, and SPI. Sample shipments have already begun.
