Mos Food Services, the operator of Mos Burger, is officially sponsoring “Square Plus Mentoring supported by MOS BURGER,” an interactive development program hosted by Square Plus, a general incorporated association that organizes international women's tennis tournaments. The program is designed for junior tennis players across Japan, as well as their parents and coaches.
Square Plus organizes the “ITF World Tennis Tour W15,” a vital gateway for young players aiming to earn world ranking points. This year, tournaments will be held in Toyama, Fukui, and Sapporo over a total of five weeks.
Mos Burger decided to sponsor the initiative due to its resonance with the Square Plus philosophy of “enriching lives through tennis.” The program will be held in locations including Fukui and Sapporo, as well as in the Tokyo metropolitan area, including Kanagawa, Saitama, and Tokyo. The program features “casual talk time” over Mos Burger meals. By sharing meals with peers and mentors who share the same dreams, the program aims to ease tension and foster deeper dialogue and learning. Mos Food Services intends to continue supporting the development of junior athletes in regional cities by leveraging its nationwide store network.
What is “Mentoring”?
The mentoring provided by Square Plus goes beyond mere technical guidance. Nine members who have experienced top world rankings share insights gained from their own successes and failures, pushing participants toward achieving their dreams while standing by their side.
- Self-discovery through dialogue: Participants hear about mentors’ real-world experiences and discover their own routines and mental control methods through workshops. - Cultivating social skills: Developing a perspective on how competitive experiences can lead to future social participation and life enrichment. - Dual approach to sports and career: Engaging in dialogue that considers future paths and lifestyles, ensuring athletes feel their challenges were worth it. - Support for those who support athletes: Including parents, coaches, and local stakeholders to improve the educational environment itself. - Caravan-style project: Expanding activities nationwide by addressing regional issues and characteristics.
