The "Ultimate Cold Noodle" Arrives. "Cilantro Yulinji Cold Noodles" Featuring Rich Sesame Sauce and Cilantro Launches May 22 (Fri)
Tonari, a Tanmen specialty shop operated by Matsufuji Foods Co., Ltd., will launch its summer-exclusive menu item "Cilantro Yulinji Cold Noodles" and a new classic flavor-changer, "Special Cilantro Sauce," at all locations starting May 22, 2026.
### The "Ultimate Cold Noodle" for Summer 2026 This summer at Tonari, a dish truly deserving of the name "ultimate" will appear, featuring a fusion of ethnic aromas and rich depth. "Cilantro Yulinji Cold Noodles" combines chilled noodles with generously topped yulinji, which is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The key to the flavor is a double sauce composed of Tonari's signature "rich sesame sauce" and a "sweet-and-sour special sauce." The addition of cilantro creates an addictive flavor profile where richness and freshness alternate.
### Revolutionizing "Tangyo" and "Tankara"! The Versatile "Special Cilantro Sauce" When enjoying Tonari, the classic pairings are "Tangyo" (Tanmen and dumplings) and "Tankara" (Tanmen and fried chicken). This summer, a "Special Cilantro Sauce" will join the lineup, further evolving these classics.
- Dumplings × Cilantro Sauce: The tangy cilantro sauce coats the juicy dumplings, offering an unprecedented refreshing sensation. - Fried Chicken × Cilantro Sauce: The voluminous fried chicken is instantly transformed into an ethnic feast.
It pairs perfectly not only with the signature "Tanmen" but also with "Miso Tanmen" and the popular "Gekitan Tanmen" for those seeking a kick. We hope you enjoy creating your own "Cilantro Coordinate."

### About Tanmen Specialty Shop "Tonari" Tonari was founded in the space adjacent to the main store of the dipping noodle (tsukemen) specialty shop "Rokurinsha" operated by the company. The main store was later relocated to Toyocho, Koto Ward, Tokyo, on September 19, 2009. Currently, there are 6 locations primarily in Tokyo and Chiba.
While the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare recommends a daily vegetable intake of 350g, Tonari's Tanmen provides a voluminous 360g of vegetables per bowl. Eight types of vegetables are stir-fried over high heat in a short time, resulting in a fragrant and robust flavor. The dish features thick, flat noodles that hold the rich, savory, and deep flavor of the salty pork-bone soup. Set menus such as "Tangyo" and "Tankara" are also very popular.
