Murasaki Sports Commissioned for FY2026 Kanagawa Urban Sports Promotion Project

Murasaki Sports Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Taito-ku, Tokyo; President: Yoichi Kanayama) is pleased to announce that it has been commissioned for the FY2026 'Kanagawa Prefecture Urban Sports Promotion Project' and will be conducting various programs throughout the year.

In this project, the company will carry out the following initiatives aimed at promoting and fostering understanding of urban sports within Kanagawa Prefecture:

- Urban Sports Workshops (Skateboarding, BMX, Breaking): 7 times annually - Performance showcases: 1 time annually - Awareness activities centered on professional performances in collaboration with municipalities and organizations within the prefecture: 4 times annually

The goal of this project is to allow a wide range of residents to experience the appeal of urban sports such as skateboarding, BMX, and breaking, while also promoting safety, rules, and etiquette to ensure a secure and healthy sports environment.

Moving forward, the company will continue to collaborate with local communities to support the development of urban sports and nurture the next generation.

Overview of the 1st Urban Sports Workshop (Skateboarding) - Date: Saturday, May 30, 2026 - Venue: Dynacity West 1F, Canyon Stage Front (Odawara City, Kanagawa Prefecture) - Content: Skateboarding workshop - Lessons for beginners - Performances by professional staff - Free rental of skateboards and protective gear - Participation fee: Free - Eligibility: Open to all (Elementary school students and under must be accompanied by a guardian)

2026 Fiscal Year Implementation Plan The urban sports workshops will be held 7 times throughout the year, mainly at commercial facilities and public spaces within Kanagawa Prefecture, covering skateboarding, BMX, and breaking.
