The free horror game 'Aquarium Does Not Dance,' developed solo over eight years by creator Daidai, has surpassed 800,000 total downloads. A novel adaptation, personally written and illustrated by Daidai, is now officially in production!

As the first wave of information, the cover illustration and a promotional video (PV) have been released on the special website. Furthermore, an early preview is available on the official Note page, featuring Suzu's inner thoughts and descriptive scenes not present in the original game. Fueled by gameplay videos and social media buzz, it has surpassed 800,000 downloads as of May 2026. The project has expanded into drama CDs, manga, and various collaborations. In 2025, a commercial version with character voices and new scenarios was released for Nintendo Switch and Steam.

Synopsis Suzu and her best friend Lulu visit the Bianca Aquarium. While exploring, Lulu disappears, and Suzu finds herself lost in a creepy, distorted version of the aquarium. As she navigates the facility haunted by aquatic monsters, she meets Retro, a woman in a military uniform carrying a sword. Can Suzu find her friend and escape? 'Who is the traitor?'
