[Survey Summary] ◆ The unofficial offer possession rate at the end of March was 58.7%, an increase of 4.1pt from the same month last year. It increased by 12.7pt from the March 1st point (46.0%). The unofficial offer possession rate for 2027 graduates at the end of March was 58.7%, up 4.1pt from the same month last year. It was 46.0% at the time of the March 1st survey, showing a 12.7pt increase in about one month. By humanities and sciences, humanities students were at 52.5% (up 5.8pt year-on-year) and science students at 68.2% (up 1.3pt year-on-year). While science students have a higher rate, the margin of increase compared to the previous year is larger for humanities students. [Figures 1, 2]

◆ The percentage of students continuing job hunting while holding an unofficial offer is 34.8%, an increase of 5.1pt year-on-year. The activity continuation rate, combining them with those without offers, is 76.2%. The percentage of students continuing their job search while holding an unofficial offer is 34.8%, an increase of 5.1pt compared to the previous year. The activity continuation rate*1, combining this with those who do not have an offer, was 76.2% (up 1.1pt year-on-year). Although the unofficial offer rate has increased from the previous year, a similar proportion of students as last year are continuing their job hunt. By humanities and sciences, 83.8% of humanities students (down 0.8pt year-on-year) and 64.3% of science students (up 4.2pt year-on-year) are continuing, indicating more science students are continuing their activities compared to the same month last year. ◆ Career formation programs such as internships influence students' intention to join the company offering the unofficial offer and their decision on where to work. When asked what triggered their discovery of the company they currently have the highest intention of joining, 'Job information sites (15.7%)' was the most common, followed by 'Work experience (short-term programs offering work experience) (14.9%)' and 'Internships (programs of 5 days or more) (13.2%)'. Additionally, when students who had decided on their prospective employer were asked when their desire to join increased the most, 'Internships (5 days or more) (20.6%)' was the highest, followed by 'Work experience (18.2%)'. This shows that career formation programs like internships have a significant impact on students' intention to join their unofficial offer provider and their final decision. [Figures 5, 6]

[Survey Researcher's Comment] The unofficial offer rate for 2027 graduates at the end of March is 58.7%, which is higher than the same period last year, but the percentage of students continuing their activities is 76.2%, which remains unchanged from the previous year. Because of this, I feel it is necessary to focus more on the 'activity continuation rate', which shows how many students are continuing their job hunting, as a more important indicator than the 'unofficial offer rate', which simply shows if they have received an offer. It was also found that internships and similar programs participated in up to February have a significant impact on students' intention to join companies and their final decisions. From these results, it can be said that students are continuing their job hunting while carefully assessing their career paths, based on the experiences gained from their career formation activities so far.
