Mynavi Launches Second Wave of New CM Campaign 'Where to Next? The Future.' Featuring Aiba Masaki and Arimura Kasumi, Nationwide Broadcast Begins July 21

Mynavi Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Awai Shunsuke) announces the nationwide broadcast launch of the second installment of its new CM campaign 'Where to Next? The Future.', featuring Aiba Masaki and Arimura Kasuna. The three-part series—'The Driving Force Behind Work,' 'Career Change,' and 'Why Do We Work?'—will begin airing across Japan on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.

This new campaign follows the initial six-part 'Where to Next? The Future.' series launched in 2025. Building on the previous concept of 'accompanying each individual’s career and future,' the new CMs were filmed with minimal scripting, focusing on Aiba and Arimura’s genuine thoughts and feelings about their own careers and work. Viewers are invited to witness the natural, unscripted chemistry between the two, who share mutual respect and laugh about their long-standing friendship.

In addition to segments where Aiba and Arimura each engage with extras reflecting on their careers, this installment marks their first on-screen collaboration. The two discuss their personal approaches to work and career development. Other segments feature a man uncertain about career change and a young girl questioning why adults work. Through diverse scenes, the CM portrays Aiba and Arimura’s authentic perspectives on work and facing the future. Continuing from the first campaign, Mynavi’s vision of supporting individuals at career and life crossroads is conveyed through candid, unscripted dialogue.

Aiba and Arimura sit on a blue bench. When Arimura asks, 'What’s your driving force?', Aiba smiles and replies, 'Responding to what’s expected of me—and seeing someone happy because of it. It’s simple, isn’t it?' He nods in agreement as Arimura passionately shares her hope to broaden her career through each new role. As scenes of everyday life unfold, their conversation continues: 'Each moment we live adds up,' 'and ahead, new horizons appear.' The CM concludes with a striking shot of the two gazing toward a vast ocean, as the message 'Where to Next? The Future.' appears behind them.

<Behind-the-Scenes Anecdotes>

Having co-starred since Arimura was 19, the two shared many lighthearted moments during filming. In interviews, Arimura remarked, 'Hearing Aiba-san’s honest thoughts today reminded me he hasn’t changed at all,' reflecting their deep rapport. Aiba noted, 'I realized during filming how much Arimura values staying true to her初心 (original motivation).' During filming, Aiba emphasized the importance of turning passions into work and finding fulfillment. 'I want to be happy and enjoy life,' he said, expressing his desire for a good balance between work and play. Arimura gently encouraged a young girl co-starring in one scene, listening to her dreams. At the end of filming, Arimura presented the girl with a bouquet, prompting joyful applause as the girl exclaimed, 'My first one ever!' The set remained warm and uplifting throughout.

—What were your thoughts on the CM shoot?

Arimura: 'We focused on maintaining a positive atmosphere, sharing honest and uplifting conversations.'

Aiba: 'We kept talking because cuts weren’t called—'How much should we say?' (laughs). I haven’t done this style of filming before, so it was fun catching up with Kasumi-chan after so long.'

—What did you think about each other’s vision for the future?

Arimura: 'Aiba-san is always the same—his focus has always been outward, on others. Hearing his honest thoughts today reminded me he truly hasn’t changed.'

Aiba: 'What stood out to me was when Kasumi-chan said she wants to break away from established ways of working as her career grows. It showed me how deeply she values her初心.'

Arimura: 'Thank you.'

Aiba: 'And off-camera, she said, 'Aiba-san, you don’t have many friends, do you?' I shot back, 'You don’t either!' (laughs). It was that kind of relaxed, talk-show-like atmosphere. She says such things with such a sweet face.'

Arimura: 'We’ve known each other for years (laughs).'

Aiba: 'We played siblings about ten years ago.'

—Have you felt personal growth or change in your career?

Arimura: 'In my 20s, I didn’t have the emotional space—the margin, so to speak. I was so focused on overcoming each challenge, just thinking, 'I must fulfill my role.' But in my 30s, I started thinking, 'I should enjoy even this!'

Aiba: 'I get it—you’ve grown.'

—If you weren’t in your current profession, what job would you have pursued?

Arimura: 'Back in middle school, I wanted to become a dog groomer or work with animals. I still love animals!'
