Thank you for your continued support of the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins.
In collaboration with Aichi Prefecture and the Aichi Sports Innovation Consortium (AiSIA), we conducted a pilot experiment for the 'Smile Economy PROJECT,' utilizing the 'Smiral' system that converts smiles into donations.
'Smiral' is a system where IT sensor devices, such as security cameras, detect smiles, transforming them into donations at a rate of 1 smile = 1 yen. Based on the concept that 'the happier each individual is, the better society naturally becomes,' the project aims to realize an inclusive society.
Some parts of the experiment were conducted on January 24th (Sat) and 25th (Sun) during the SeaHorses Mikawa game held at IG Arena, utilizing outdoor booths and in-venue video screens. For this pilot, the Smiral system was installed in three areas, including the game venue and nearby facilities.
As a result of the pilot, 17,828 smiles were detected (60% of the target), and the donation amount reached 89,140 yen (297% of the target). These funds were utilized for the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins' social responsibility initiative, 'Dolphins Smile,' to provide cheerleading gear to athletes affiliated with the Aichi FID Basketball Federation.
