Unagi Yondaime Kikugawa Opens Nagoya Okumise on June 5, Osaka branch on July 9, 2026.

Passion Geeks, led by Shogo Abe, opened 'Unagi Yondaime Kikugawa Nagoya Hon-ten Okumise' on June 5, 2026, in the AJI MICHI area (Horiuchi Building B1F) near Nagoya Station. This new annex offers a quiet dining experience with 56 seats (including private rooms). The brand will also open a new branch at Osaka's Yodoyabashi Gate Tower on July 9, 2026.

Run by an eel wholesaler founded in 1932, all locations feature a glass-walled live kitchen. Along with the famous 'Ippon Unagi' (whole grilled eel) cooked via the direct 'jiyaki' method (no steaming), the Nagoya Okumise branch introduces 'unagi shabu-shabu' as a starter.

To remove odors, the eels are purged with well water from 200m underground in a dedicated facility called 'Tateba'. Signature dishes include Kabayaki Ippon-ju (5,700 yen), Ippon Hitsumabushi (5,900 yen), Hitsumabushi (4,780 yen), and Shirayaki Ippon-tei (5,700 yen), all tax-inclusive.
