This year, by the end of February 2026, the comprehensive renovation and remodeling of our main building was largely completed. We have moved the temporary store, which had been relocated within the premises, back to its original location and have been operating since March 1st.
Nara Kasugayama Sake Brewery's sake cellar boasts a history of approximately 400 years, beginning with "Yokotaya" in the mid-Edo period. After "Yokotaya" continued for 13 generations, Yagi Sannosuke, who ran a rice brokerage in Dojima, Osaka, took over everything in Meiji 10 (1877), and it became "Yagi Shuzo." Approximately 150 years later, in December 2022, "Honda Net Kinki" became the new owner, renaming it "Nara Kasugayama Sake Brewery" and embarking on a new beginning.
### Resumption of Sake Brewing and Evolution into an Experience-Based Hub for Food and Culture
Having completed the renovation work, we are now embarking on a new chapter in our history. We plan to resume the production of sake, shochu, and mirin. While the timing is yet to be determined, we are also considering brewery tours and opening a restaurant.
The object crafted from the pillars of the old building and the Japanese-style courtyard feature a large cherry tree that will soon be in full bloom. As the weather warms, gazing at the cherry blossoms in the courtyard is very pleasant. You are free to stroll through the courtyard, and we would be delighted if you could visit us to enjoy the cherry blossoms in full bloom.
We will continue to dedicate ourselves to producing products that delight our customers. We kindly ask for your continued patronage. We sincerely look forward to your visit.
