Nippon Dry-Chemical Launches PFAS-Free Fire Extinguishing Agent

Nippon Dry-Chemical Co., Ltd. has developed and launched 'Green Parking Foam,' a fluorine-free foam fire extinguishing agent for parking lots designed to reduce environmental impact. Currently, many aqueous film-forming foam (AFFF) agents used in parking lots contain PFAS, which pose environmental pollution risks. As some PFAS substances are restricted by law, the supply of traditional AFFF agents is expected to end in Japan. This new product is a synthetic surfactant-based foam that contains no PFAS. If the company's existing foam heads are installed, the agent can be replaced without modifying existing equipment. It offers fire extinguishing performance equivalent to conventional products and is suitable for both new and existing installations.
