About NEG's micro-texture technology 'nanoWave™'

nanoWave™ is a unique processing technology developed by NEG that uniformly forms nano-scale micro-textures on the glass surface. Conventional paper-like films have faced challenges such as 'screen cloudiness and low transparency,' 'susceptibility to scratches and degradation of drawing feel,' and 'high wear on stylus tips.' nanoWave™ solves these issues, balancing drawing comfort and durability while maintaining extremely high transparency.

The nano-level textures replicate the 'moderate resistance' felt when writing with a pencil on paper.

By optimizing the height and density of the micro-textures, contact with the stylus tip is dispersed, reducing wear.

It suppresses light scattering that causes screen cloudiness (haze) and glare, maintaining an unprecedented high transparency with a haze level of 3% or less. Furthermore, because the textures are formed directly on the high-hardness glass substrate, it is resistant to scratches even after long-term use, and the drawing feel does not deteriorate.
