neoAI Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Shunsuke Chiba), a startup originating from the University of Tokyo's Matsuo Laboratory that provides solutions specializing in generative AI, announced on July 9, 2026, that it has entered into capital and business alliance agreements with five companies: Aozora Bank, Ltd., Shonan Shinkin Bank, Kyushu Electric Power Co., Inc., Kyoto Chuo Shinkin Bank, and The Bank of Iwate, Ltd. (collectively, "the five companies").

Combined with the capital and business alliance agreement with Japan Post Bank Co., Ltd. announced in May 2026, neoAI has established a collaborative framework with a total of six companies that support Japan's critical infrastructure.

(※) For some alliance partners, the business alliance was concluded with the partner company itself, and investment was received from a fund under the partner's group.

Background of the Alliance - "Intelligence for Every Industry."

With the vision of "Accelerating Japan's Growth" and the mission of "Intelligence for Every Industry," neoAI provides generative AI solutions to a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, finance, and energy. In the financial sector alone, neoAI's products have already been introduced to 65 financial institutions.

Critical infrastructure is one of the most challenging areas for generative AI implementation due to the strictest demands for regulation, security, and reliability. Conversely, a model for social implementation established in this domain can be applied not only to the entire critical infrastructure industry but also to all other industries. The aim of simultaneously concluding capital and business alliance agreements with multiple companies is to create and expand this model in collaboration with each company on the ground.

What We Will Work On in This Alliance

neoAI will engage in medium- to long-term collaboration with each company, going beyond mere PoCs (Proof of Concepts). The core of this collaboration will be two approaches: "Intelligent Foundation" to elevate AI utilization across all companies, and "Applied Intelligence" to deeply integrate into individual business operations.

(1) Intelligent Foundation - The Intelligent Foundation Driving Critical Infrastructure

We will provide our AI agent platforms, "neoAI Chat" and "neoAI Work," as the foundation for company-wide AI utilization for each partner. The platform will be continuously evolved based on collaborative insights, while meeting the security, reliability, and governance requirements demanded by critical infrastructure.

(2) Applied Intelligence - Challenge-Driven Intelligence Implementation

We will apply the common intelligent foundation to each company's business operations to achieve AI Transformation (AX) through projects. Because a foundation exists, we can focus on application and improvement rather than building from scratch for each company. We will drive the entire process from use case exploration, requirements definition, development, to the establishment of operational frameworks, leading to the transformation of core business operations.

Specific details of initiatives with each company will be announced sequentially.

Since our joint demonstration experiment on generative AI utilization in 2023, Japan Post Bank and neoAI have been working together to leverage generative AI for solving management challenges through the adoption of "neoAI Chat" and the development of role-playing AI. The cutting-edge research and development capabilities and implementation expertise originating from the University of Tokyo's Matsuo Laboratory are highly encouraging. We expect that this capital and business alliance, along with CEO Chiba's appointment as our AI Advisor, will accelerate the fundamental operational efficiency and sophistication through company-wide AI utilization, as outlined in our Mid-Term Management Plan.

<Mr. Yoshikazu Kusuda, Executive Officer, Deputy CIO, Aozora Bank, Ltd.>

The Aozora Bank Group is utilizing neoAI's AI platform "neoAI Chat" across the entire organization, promoting operational efficiency by having AI handle many tasks. By further deepening our partnership with neoAI, we aim to accelerate the integration of generative AI into our business processes within the Aozora Bank Group.

<Mr. Minoru Hayashi, Chairman, Shonan Shinkin Bank>

As a shinkin bank aiming to "live together with the community," we are promoting initiatives that closely support the community and our customers with the unified efforts of our officers and employees. We are truly encouraged to have concluded a business alliance agreement with neoAI Inc. Moving forward, we will further promote the utilization of advanced technologies such as generative AI, contribute to the development of the regional economy through DX support for small and medium-sized enterprises, and aim to realize a richer life for everyone. We also expect this collaboration to contribute to the development of the entire industry.

<Mr. Kenichi Honda, Executive Officer, General Manager of Information & Communications Division, Technical Solutions Headquarters, Kyushu Electric Power Co., Inc.>

Kyushu Electric Power has been advancing the development and introduction of generative AI specialized for the unique operations of each department within the power industry, thereby expanding the application of generative AI beyond general business to highly specialized tasks, aiming for further operational efficiency and sophistication.

As a partner to achieve this, we have been working with neoAI, which possesses high technical capabilities and flexible customization skills with a supportive approach, and have steadily achieved results.

Through this capital and business alliance, we aim to further deepen the relationship between our two companies. We expect neoAI to gain a deep understanding of our operations through initiatives with each department and to strongly support AI-ready data preparation and AI-driven business transformation (DX) as an optimal AI partner. Furthermore, we hope that the collaboration between our two companies will lead to the advancement of generative AI utilization throughout the industry.

<Mr. Yukihiro Uemura, Chairman, Kyoto Chuo Shinkin Bank>

Our bank positions the utilization of generative AI as one of its key management challenges, aiming to enhance the value provided to our regional customers and to improve the sophistication and efficiency of our banking operations. Through our collaboration with neoAI, we will accumulate practical knowledge of generative AI utilization within the shinkin bank industry and create use cases that are truly useful in the field. We will continue to promote initiatives that contribute to the improvement of customer service and the development of regional finance.

<Mr. Toru Iwayama, President and CEO, The Bank of Iwate, Ltd.>

While we have been advancing the use of generative AI at our bank, we recognize that a key challenge is to connect its effects not only to the efficiency of individual operations but also to the transformation of business processes and decision-making. In this context, we place great expectations on neoAI as a strategic partner with not only high technical capabilities but also implementation expertise that considers the security and governance required of financial institutions.

Moving forward, we will deepen our collaboration with neoAI with AX as the core, aiming to enhance and streamline our bank's operations, improve the value provided to our customers, and create new value in the region.
