Marvel Rivals Season 8.5 'Crimes of Alchemax' Kicks Off June 12!

Marvel Games and NetEase Games have announced details for the upcoming Season 8.5, 'Crimes of Alchemax,' of the superhero PvP team shooter 'Marvel Rivals.' The season kicks off on Friday, June 12, 2026.

'Marvel Rivals' is a team-based PvP shooter where players form squads using superheroes and villains from the Marvel Multiverse, utilizing unique abilities on destructible maps.

Season 8.5 introduces the popular hero 'Cyclops,' the leader of the X-MEN, to the roster as a Duelist. Additionally, a new game mode 'Elimination Order (18v18)' and the dedicated map 'K'un-Lun: Shenlong Arena' will be featured. Furthermore, a new third-party tournament program has been announced, allowing fans to host their own events.

New Hero 'Cyclops': Attacks enemies with his powerful Optic Blast, which can also be reflected off environmental surfaces. His ultimate ability unleashes a devastating blast that obliterates everything in its path.

'Marvel Rivals Summer Fest': Begins after the update on June 18. Players can earn up to 2,500 units through events, including daily logins. The event also features a new lineup of 'Swimsuit Collection' costumes and a new social hub, 'Hellfire Beach.'

'Day of 616' Event: Returns from June 12 to June 26, featuring a revival of past limited-time costumes and events.

Third-Party Tournament Program: A new framework to support community hosts, content creators, and esports organizations in running their own tournaments of various scales.
