NEWONE, a firm dedicated to creating 'workplaces people want to support' through organizational development and human resource consulting focused on engagement, will host a seminar for management and HR personnel, co-hosted with Lifeworks, which joined the group in April 2026. The seminar, titled 'Can Employees in Their 50s and 60s Excel Even More? Conditions for Organizations to Transform Mid-Career and Senior Employees into Value-Creation Talent,' will be held on June 9, 2026.
In this seminar, we will welcome Professor Tsuneki Ishiyama from the Institute of Regional Creation / Faculty of Career Design at Hosei University Graduate School. He will explain the structural factors that hinder senior employees from excelling, as well as the necessary environment, relationships, and organizational design required for them to regain their proactivity and contribute to value creation, drawing from both research findings and corporate practical cases.
Furthermore, we will introduce the direction of new support that integrates career autonomy support and organizational transformation, made possible by this group participation.
[Background] Amidst the rising attention on human capital management, 'revitalizing mid-career and senior employees' has become a key theme for many companies. In the field, issues such as senior employees not fully utilizing their potential, ambiguous expectations, and ineffective systems are frequently reported. These issues stem from structural factors, such as gaps in role expectations and a lack of clear career prospects. However, it has become clear that with the right environment and relationships, this demographic can regain their proactivity and contribute to organizational value.
