Creating the Future of Education: Understanding 'Work' in Elementary School to Foster Entrepreneurial Choices. Case Studies from Two Takatsuki City Schools Released.

Paradigm Shift IDNet work's Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Takatsuki City, Osaka Prefecture, Representative Director: Eiji Takasu) has been conducting 'outreach classes' since the 2025 academic year in elementary schools within the local Takatsuki City, aiming to foster children's ability to pose their own questions and carve out their future.

As a culmination of one year of activities, we are pleased to report on two case studies: the presentation of results from a business meeting for the 'Social Issue Resolution Presentation' at Somyō Elementary School, Takatsuki City, and the 'Career Education & Disaster Prevention Class by Business Leaders (Super Heroes)' at Kashida Elementary School, Takatsuki City. Our company aims to create a society where children can learn that 'entrepreneurship is one of the options, not just employment,' and feel excited about their own infinite possibilities.

Children Create a 'Company'

Under the theme 'Let's create a company to solve today's social issues!', children devised their own business plans. They delved into the essence of 'economic activity,' considering how to raise funds if money was needed and who the target audience would be. Presentation of Results in Front of 250 Current Business Leaders The winning team, selected through an in-school competition, presented their business proposal at 'BBM (Big Business Meeting),' a business meeting for current business leaders, in February 2026. They confidently presented their business plan for a company tackling the labor shortage issue in 2030 due to declining birthrates and an aging population, receiving great applause from the adults. Changes in the School Environment The supervising teacher commented, 'The students learned the importance of posing their own questions. Through role-playing, the class allowed each child's individuality to shine, whether they were good at speaking or enjoyed creating slides.'
