Chicony Electronics (2385-TW), a computer peripherals manufacturer, announced today (9) that it has repurchased shares worth NT$310 million since launching its treasury stock program on July 1. The company plans to buy back up to 6,000 shares in total, and has so far acquired 2,816 shares, representing 0.37% of its total issued shares.
The share buyback program runs from July 1 to August 31, with a targeted price range of NT$100 to NT$150 per share. The current average purchase price stands at NT$107.19. Chicony's self-reported consolidated revenue for June reached NT$7.889 billion, up 9% month-on-month. Second-quarter revenue totaled NT$22.388 billion, with first-half revenue reaching NT$45.259 billion.
Driven by end-of-quarter demand, high-end PC shipments performed smoothly. June's revenue was primarily driven by power supplies and keyboard products, with power supply business showing the strongest growth. The second quarter also saw power products deliver the best performance.
Looking ahead, the company remains optimistic about the prospects of high-wattage power supplies, LED-backlit keyboards, and high-end lens modules. Chicony plans to actively engage with the first wave of NVIDIA's RTX Spark notebook ecosystem this fall, aiming to secure new market opportunities.
