Fueled by a powerful overnight rally in U.S. memory stocks, the global semiconductor sector erupted collectively today (22nd). The Hong Kong-listed 2x leveraged ETF 'CSOP 2x Long SK Hynix' surged nearly 15%, drawing significant investor attention. Similarly, the 'CSOP 2x Long Samsung Electronics' ETF rose over 10%.

U.S. markets saw near-universal gains in memory stocks last night, with SanDisk climbing over 14%, SK Hynix up more than 13%, and Micron Technology rising over 12%, returning its market capitalization to the trillion-dollar mark.

Propelled by soaring tech stocks, South Korea's KOSPI index surged today, reclaiming the 7,000-point level and briefly surpassing 7,100. SK Hynix rose over 9% at one point, while Samsung Electronics gained over 6%.

The KOSPI 200 futures index rose more than 5% and sustained that level for over a minute, prompting the Korea Exchange to activate the Sidecar mechanism at 9:06 a.m. local time. This temporarily halted program buying for five minutes to cool market volatility.

China's Guotai Haitong Securities noted that the slowing pace of memory price increases has already been fully priced in, while the sustainability of the economic cycle remains underappreciated by the market. It views recent pullbacks as opportunities for positioning, not signals of a market peak.
