Taiwan stocks closed at 44,825.78 points today, rising 592.91 points with a turnover of NT$982.645 billion, marking the third consecutive day below the trillion threshold. Foreign investors ended their 13-day consecutive net sell-off, turning buyers with a net purchase of approximately NT$17.34 billion. They heavily bought 121,000 lots of 00403A (Uni-President Active Upgrade 50), 53,000 lots of 00981A (Uni-President Taiwan Equity Growth), 46,000 lots of 00631L (Yuanta Taiwan 50 Bull 2), and 24,000 lots of Wistron. Meanwhile, TSMC, which closed down NT$10, was again sold off by foreign investors with a net sell of 3,538 lots.
Taiwan's stock market has launched a strong rebound for two consecutive trading days, gaining a total of 2,376.08 points. Although it failed to close above 45,000 today, it surged nearly 1,100 points intraday, reaching a high of 45,323.75 points, fully filling the gap created by last Friday's nearly 3,000-point plunge.
Analyzing recent movements of the three major institutional investors, they collectively bought a net NT$31.938 billion. Foreign investors and investment trusts stood on the buying side, while proprietary traders were the sole sellers. Foreign investors shifted from net sellers to net buyers, purchasing NT$17.34 billion. Investment trusts bought NT$16.992 billion, while proprietary traders turned sellers, offloading NT$2.397 billion.
Foreign investors heavily purchased 121,000 lots of 00403A (Uni-President Active Upgrade 50), 53,000 lots of 00981A (Uni-President Taiwan Equity Growth), and 46,000 lots of 00631L (Yuanta Taiwan 50 Bull 2). They also bought 44,000 lots of 009816 (KGI Taiwan TOP50), 38,000 lots of KGI Financial, 27,000 lots of 00405A (Fubon Active Taiwan Dragon), 25,000 lots of Yuanta High Dividend, 25,000 lots of Yuanta Financial, 24,000 lots of Wistron, and 24,000 lots of Dah Chong Hong.
On the sell side, foreign investors offloaded 28,000 lots of HANJUNG, 22,000 lots of Far Eastern New Century, 15,000 lots of Nanya Technology, 14,000 lots of Uni-President, 11,000 lots of Hua Nan Financial, 8,589 lots of Powerchip, 8,152 lots of AU Optronics, 7,758 lots of Winbond, 7,109 lots of First Financial, and 6,855 lots of CPC Corporation.
Investment trusts heavily bought 10,000 lots of Hua Nan Financial, 9,570 lots of Changhua Bank, 8,602 lots of First Financial, 7,471 lots of Yuanta Financial, 6,520 lots of Hsing Fu Fa, 5,961 lots of Mega Financial, 5,541 lots of Taishin & Shin Kong Financial, 4,687 lots of Uni-President, 4,112 lots of Dah Chong Hong, and 3,266 lots of Nan Ya Plastics.
Investment trusts sold 8,270 lots of ITRI, 4,896 lots of Capital Securities, 3,773 lots of Acer, 3,356 lots of Far EasTone, 3,150 lots of EVA Airways, 3,103 lots of Pou Chen, 2,741 lots of Cathay Financial, 2,523 lots of Cheng Shin, 2,473 lots of UMC, and 2,325 lots of Pegatron.
