Ainos (AIMD-US), a subsidiary of ASE Group, announced that its AI Nose has accumulated over 613 million industrial environmental smell data points, primarily collected from semiconductor manufacturing sites. Ainos stated that as the deployment scale of AI Nose continues to expand, the company is steadily accumulating real-world smell data, leveraging it to strengthen its proprietary Smell Language Model (SLM), and progressively advancing its long-term Smell Intelligence Network strategy.

The AI Nose continuously captures odor patterns in the environment and converts them into machine-readable data, used to build and optimize proprietary Smell IDs. Through prolonged operation in real-world environments, the platform continuously learns, enhancing Smell AI's ability to identify and apply different odor patterns.

Eddy Tsai, Chairman and CEO of Ainos, said: 'Smell AI is a real-world data-based, continuously learning AI platform. Each new AI Nose deployment further expands Smell ID, strengthens the Smell Language Model, and advances the development of the Smell Intelligence Network. Real-world data will be a critical foundation for Smell AI to build long-term competitiveness.'

Ainos noted that while traditional sensing systems focus on specific substances or single-point measurements, Smell AI continuously converts chemical information in the air into structured, machine-readable data, forming a data asset that can be accumulated and analyzed over time. The company believes Smell AI has the potential to become a new sensory layer for Physical AI, helping AI systems capture environmental chemical signals that were previously difficult to digitize.

Ainos stated that as the number of AI Nose deployment sites increases, Smell ID data will continue to expand, further strengthening the Smell Language Model and gradually building the Smell Intelligence Network to provide next-generation Physical AI with new environmental perception capabilities.

Currently, Ainos has initiated commercial deployment of Smell AI at manufacturing sites of the world's leading semiconductor packaging and testing companies. It is also advancing applications in advanced semiconductor manufacturing environments. In addition to the semiconductor industry, the company is continuously expanding into smart factories, robotics, and medical infrastructure, further accumulating real-world smell data across industries and environments.
