Driven by AI-induced shortages and rising prices of electronic materials such as memory chips and ABF substrates, Nanya (1303-TW), a petrochemical company, has seen significant benefits from its strategic shift toward electronic materials in recent years. With Nanya Technology (2408-TW) and ASEK Holding (8046-TW)—both key subsidiaries under Nanya—opening higher and rapidly surging today, large buy orders continuously poured into Nanya's stock, pushing its price up by more than 8%, with a peak of 212 TWD.

The Formosa Plastics Group's stocks, including Nanya, have been in focus due to rising oil prices, increasing quotations for petrochemical products, and the advantage of holding low-cost raw material inventories. Today, boosted by the revival of the memory market and rising ABF substrate prices, Nanya reclaimed the 200 TWD threshold, with trading volume exceeding 100,000 lots.

This year, Nanya's operational profits have been significantly boosted by its equity investments in Nanya Technology and ASEK Holding. The company has announced plans to gradually dispose of its stakes in both subsidiaries from March 2026 through the end of the year. Upon completion, its stake in Nanya Technology is expected to decrease from approximately 29% to 28.28%, and its holding in ASEK Holding from around 67% to 60.97%.

Nanya stated that the proceeds from these disposals will not only support its capacity expansion but also provide additional capital for advancing high-end electronic material development.

Looking ahead, financial institutions point out that Nanya is progressively transforming from a traditional petrochemical company into a key AI electronic materials supplier. As the revenue contribution from electronic materials, ABF substrates, and memory-related businesses grows rapidly, Nanya's revenue in July is expected to exceed June's, and third-quarter revenue is projected to surpass the second quarter. The growth momentum will continue to be driven by electronic materials and related products.
