Foxconn (2317-TW) continued its rally today, rising over half the daily price limit, reaching a high of NT$259, reclaiming the 20-day moving average and completing its dividend catch-up. This recovery took 14 trading days, nearly matching last year’s 13-day period.

Foxconn’s net profit after tax last year reached NT$189.354 billion, up 24% year-on-year, with earnings per share (EPS) at NT$13.61, a record high. The shareholders’ meeting approved a dividend payout of NT$7.2 per share—the best in company history—effective July 2 as the ex-dividend date.

However, due to bondholders of Foxconn’s 2021 (110th year) first overseas unsecured convertible bonds applying for conversion into ordinary shares, the total number of outstanding shares changed, resulting in an adjusted cash dividend of NT$7.17179227 per share.

Foxconn will distribute cash dividends on July 31, totaling NT$100.931 billion. According to data from the Public Information Observation System, founder Terry Gou held approximately 1.7397 million shares of Foxconn stock as of May, entitling him to receive around NT$12.476 billion in cash dividends.
