Compeq Manufacturing (2313-TW) has successfully raised NT$8.61 billion by issuing 42,000 new shares through a rights issue, making it the largest fundraising in the company's history and the largest among PCB companies in Taiwan this year. The company announced today (22) that the rights issue has been fully subscribed, with the new shares scheduled to begin trading on July 27.
The rights issue was priced at NT$205 per share. However, Compeq's stock price showed weakness today, closing at NT$208, down NT$2 (0.95%), with trading volume increasing to 38,800 shares.
Compeq has recently confirmed the acquisition of land and factory facilities in Guanyin Industrial Park, Taoyuan, for over NT$2 billion, actively preparing for capacity expansion. Additionally, due to its involvement in a new factory construction project in Taiwan, the company's capital expenditure for this year is expected to reach NT$30 billion.
Compeq began investing in Thailand early and is currently advancing the second-phase construction of its Thai plant. Originally, the company's capital expenditure plan for 2026 was set between NT$12 billion and NT$15 billion. However, due to a positive market outlook, the full-year capital expenditure could increase to NT$30 billion, setting a new record high.
Since 2026, other PCB companies such as Yisheng (5291-TW), Lin Hong (5464-TW), and Juxiang (8074-TW) have also proposed fundraising plans through convertible bonds or rights issues. However, Compeq's plan to raise NT$8.61 billion by issuing 42,000 new shares is the largest in scale. Additionally, Bozhi (8155-TW) plans to issue NT$5 billion in convertible bonds.
As a long-established PCB manufacturer, Compeq is accelerating capacity expansion in both Taiwan and Thailand. With the new factory construction in Taiwan, the company's capital expenditure for the year is projected to reach NT$30 billion.
Compeq has been investing in Thailand for years and is currently in the process of expanding its second-phase plant. Originally targeting capital expenditures of NT$12–15 billion for 2026, the company now expects to raise its annual investment to NT$30 billion due to favorable market conditions.
