To expand access to small-scale financial lending services, Gogolook (6902-TW), a trust technology provider, announced today (23rd) a cross-sector strategic partnership between its small loan app 'JUJI Zhaocai Maji' and UBI Taiwan (Taiwan Universal Basic Income Association).
Gogolook explained that the jointly initiated 'Life Rewrite Project'公益 initiative with UBI Taiwan will publicly recruit several selected participants to receive an unconditional monthly living subsidy of NT$10,000 for one year. This marks Taiwan’s first corporate-sponsored basic income experiment, combining fintech and social innovation.
According to the latest statistics from the Credit Information Center, Taiwan’s credit volume has surpassed NT$1.5 trillion, with over 1.8 million users. However, as high as 40% of the population lacks a credit card and is excluded from traditional financial services due to insufficient formal income or stable financial proof.
To address this, JUJI Zhaocai Maji offers small loan matchmaking services that differ from traditional financial institutions’ cumbersome processes. Leveraging its proprietary AI-powered automated risk control engine and credit assessment model, JUJI provides users with fast, compliant, and secure access to funds. Users can pledge smartphones or motorcycles as collateral, complete applications via the app in as little as 3 minutes, and receive funds within 30 minutes.
Additionally, JUJI Zhaocai Maji accepts diverse forms of income verification, significantly lowering borrowing barriers and enabling users to easily access financial support during emergencies.
JUJI Zhaocai Maji shared user insights for the first time, revealing that nearly 70% of users are under 35, highlighting the strong financial needs of younger generations amid rising non-traditional employment. Notably, users without credit cards, earning under NT$10,000 monthly, or lacking stable income—often categorized as financially vulnerable—now account for 55% of JUJI’s user base, a figure that has steadily increased year-on-year.
Remarkably, JUJI Zhaocai Maji reports a 95% high repeat application rate, with returning users growing steadily each year. This indicates that its innovative AI risk control system creates a win-win outcome, genuinely supporting users’ financial needs without trapping them in debt cycles or falling prey to scams.
Ko Chih-Chiang, CEO of Gogolook’s Fintech Business Group, stated, 'JUJI Zhaocai Maji is a pivotal step in deepening our fintech ecosystem. With 24/7 automated application and loan approval processes, along with acceptance of diverse financial proofs, we’re offering more users in need of small funds a safe, transparent, and fast alternative.'
The 'Life Rewrite Project' will select three participants as central figures, each receiving NT$10,000 monthly for one year as unconditional basic income. A comprehensive report will be published upon completion. Applications are now open—any JUJI member can qualify by filling out the questionnaire on the official campaign website (https://pse.is/9bdbl5).
David Lin, Executive Vice President of O-Bank, the first financial institution to establish a long-term corporate credit partnership with JUJI Zhaocai Maji, commented, 'JUJI is transforming the traditional leasing and financing industry through innovative technology. This Life Rewrite Project holds profound social experimental significance.'
Looking ahead, Gogolook stated that JUJI Zhaocai Maji will continue collaborating with more certified financial and leasing partners, seamlessly integrating financial services into real-world scenarios such as HR matching, pet healthcare, and online education. The goal is to become Taiwan’s most accessible emergency microloan app and expand the inclusive finance ecosystem.
