Yide (6461-TW) has acquired two Taiwan invention patents for metered-dose inhalers (MDI). Its current product pipeline targets a global market opportunity exceeding USD 940 million. With core products nearing completion and entering regulatory submission phases, Yide plans to accelerate its U.S. market expansion by 2027.
Yide recently announced the acquisition of two Taiwan invention patents covering key formulation technologies: Hybrid Suspension and Co-suspension. The company continues to expand its product portfolio, adding four new MDI development projects using low global warming potential (LGWP) propellants and two nasal spray products. One over-the-counter (OTC) nasal spray product is scheduled for launch in the U.S. in 2027.
In international market expansion, Yide’s products are already sold in Southeast Asia. Through diversified generic drug strategies and the 505(b)(2) pathway, Yide has established commercial partnerships with collaborators in the U.S. and Canada for SYN011 and U.S. SYN021. The company confirms that its core MDI projects are progressing on schedule, with the goal of submitting Abbreviated New Drug Applications (ANDA) to the U.S. FDA in 2027 to expedite market entry.
Additionally, Yide’s self-developed nasal spray product, "Xinfuning Nasal Spray," received pharmaceutical approval from Taiwan’s TFDA in January this year and has completed health insurance pricing negotiations. The company is currently preparing for launch, with commercialization expected in the second half of 2024.
Going forward, Yide will continue to focus on its two core technology platforms—MDI and nasal sprays—integrating low-carbon, environmentally friendly formulation innovations, international collaborations, and global commercialization strategies to strengthen its competitive advantage in respiratory therapeutics.
