Taiwan Drone Alliance Participates in Farnborough Airshow, Signs MOU with UK's ADS

The Taiwan Excellence Drone International Business Opportunity Alliance (TEDIBOA) announced today (27th) that it has participated in the Farnborough Airshow—one of the world's three major aerospace exhibitions—and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the UK's Aerospace, Defence, Security and Space trade organization, ADS Group. This marks the first formal industrial exchange between Taiwan and the UK in the drone sector.

According to the alliance, under the agreement, Taiwan and the UK will establish an industrial collaboration platform for drone research, development, and marketing. In addition to participating in each other’s international business expansion programs, both sides will further explore other potential areas of cooperation, aiming to promote substantive collaboration and bilateral investment.

Alliance Chairman Tsao Chin-Ping delegated HAN CHIANG (2634-TW) CEO Chuang Hsiu-Mei as his representative to attend the event. She led a delegation from the Aerospace Industry Association and several alliance member companies. Chuang stated, “We have absolute confidence that Taiwan can become the safest, most reliable, and most manufacturing-capable strategic partner for the UK aerospace and defense industries in the Asia-Pacific region.”

The Taiwan Excellence Drone International Business Opportunity Alliance (TEDIBOA), guided by Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs, was jointly promoted by the Metal Industries Research & Development Centre and HAN CHIANG. Currently chaired by HAN CHIANG’s Chairman Tsao Chin-Ping, the alliance has established partnerships with 15 drone organizations across 9 countries in Europe, the US, and Asia. In the first half of this year, it has actively visited Germany, the US, and Japan to negotiate with local industry groups.

Meanwhile, the UK’s ADS Group represents over 2,000 member companies across aviation, defense, security, and space sectors. Its subsidiary, Farnborough International, is the organizer of the Farnborough Airshow.
