Industrial computer manufacturer Pax Instruments (3594-TW) has announced a collaboration with information integration service provider Uni-Info to jointly develop a WMS smart warehouse solution. This solution has now been officially deployed and is operational at Pax's smart manufacturing facility, signifying that the partnership has entered the phase of practical validation.

By combining Pax's industrial-grade PDA mobile devices with Uni-Info's LumineOne WMS (Warehouse Management System) software, the two companies have launched an integrated hardware-software smart warehouse solution designed to help manufacturers transition from manual operations to digitalized management.

Pax has implemented the LumineOne WMS system in its smart factory, integrating it with PaxMobile's industrial PDA mobile terminals for real-time scanning and instant connectivity with the WMS. This integration has improved receiving efficiency by over 15% and reduced material preparation and outbound operation times by more than 18%.

Li Ming, Chairman of Pax Instruments, stated that digital transformation in manufacturing is now an irreversible trend. He emphasized that this collaboration validates the effective integration of Pax's expertise in industrial mobile devices with Uni-Info's experience in WMS, enabling a seamless end-to-end solution from frontline operations to backend management.

Uni-Info highlighted that PaxMobile's PDA devices offer high durability and efficient scanning capabilities. When paired with a comprehensive WMS system, they effectively address on-site operational pain points and enable practical implementation of smart warehousing, laying the foundation for future deployment across other manufacturing clients.
