The Taiwan Stock Exchange announced today (28) that San Shang Life Insurance (2867-TW), due to a share conversion with E.Sun Financial Holding (2884-TW), will become a 100% owned subsidiary of E.Sun Financial. As a result, San Shang Life's listed securities will cease trading from August 20, 2026, with the shareholder register freeze period from August 22 to September 1, and the company will officially terminate its listing on September 1, 2026 (Minguo Year 115).

San Shang Life's delisting is primarily to facilitate the share conversion with E.Sun Financial, after which the insurer will be fully integrated into E.Sun's financial group as a wholly-owned life insurance subsidiary. This marks the end of San Shang Life's stock trading history, which has lasted over 13 years since its listing.

Notably, San Shang Life has shown significant operational improvement just before delisting. The company recently released its unaudited financial results for the first half of 2026, reporting a cumulative after-tax net profit of NT$5.1 billion, a surge of NT$5.4 billion compared to the same period last year, with earnings per share (EPS) reaching NT$0.87. This strong performance was driven by a 17,162-point rise in the Taiwan stock index, boosting investment gains, along with the steady release of CSM (Contract Service Margin), which supported overall profitability.

Additionally, the company's net worth has also risen significantly. San Shang Life stated that rising government bond yields in the first half led to a recognition of approximately NT$30.7 billion in insurance financial gains under other comprehensive income. Combined with rising domestic and international stock markets, unrealized gains on financial assets increased by NT$22.2 billion, pushing its net worth to over NT$120 billion—reaching NT$120 billion by the end of June, up NT$55.3 billion from the beginning of the year. The net worth ratio also improved to 8.80%.

With the official announcement of the delisting schedule, San Shang Life's shares will have their final trading day on August 19, 2026, cease trading from August 20, and be formally delisted on September 1, 2026.
