ADLINK Technology (6166-TW), an industrial computer manufacturer, announced that its performance is being driven by the explosive growth of edge AI applications. Chairman Liu Jun highlighted that the company's expansion into semiconductor manufacturing and testing equipment, combined with strong customer demand and active order replenishment, has become a key growth driver.

Liu Jun referenced NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang's 'five-layer cake theory,' emphasizing that the application layer is where AI value is ultimately realized. For Taiwan's industrial computing sector, which has accumulated 30-40 years of expertise in small-volume, customized manufacturing, this positions them as primary beneficiaries of AI's practical deployment.

General Manager Huang Yi-Tun stated that current operations align with previous guidance provided during earnings calls. Customer demand continues to expand across key edge AI application areas such as industrial automation, smart healthcare, robotics, and intelligent transportation, all of which are expected to boost performance in 2024.

ADLINK reported June revenue of NT$1.508 billion, a record high for the month and the second-highest monthly revenue to date, representing a 4.7% month-on-month increase and a 25.9% year-on-year growth. Due to securities reaching the threshold for public trading alerts on the centralized market, the company disclosed its self-compiled post-tax net profit for June at NT$73.4 million, up 61.7% year-on-year, with earnings per share at NT$0.36.

Second-quarter revenue reached NT$4.459 billion, a record high for any quarter, up 29% quarter-on-quarter and 52% year-on-year. First-half 2024 revenue totaled NT$7.903 billion, also a record for the period, reflecting a 41% year-on-year increase.
