ADATA (3260-TW) released its second-quarter financial report today (28th), with quarterly post-tax net profit surpassing the NT$10 billion mark for the first time. Net profit attributable to owners of the parent company reached NT$10.4 billion, a year-on-year increase of over 10 times, and earnings per share (EPS) hit a record high of NT$32.39. Cumulative net profit attributable to the parent for the first half of the year reached NT$19.94 billion, a 13-fold year-on-year increase, with EPS reaching NT$62.46.

Looking ahead to Q3, ADATA Chairman Chen Li-Bai stated that global AI applications continue to expand, making memory supply even tighter. The company will continue to fully secure stable supply support from upstream manufacturers and fully capture market opportunities. With rising demand and upward price trends, ADATA expects Q3 revenue to maintain the growth momentum seen in the first half, with overall profitability expected to continue advancing and setting new historical records.

Additionally, ADATA is progressively evaluating investments in AI computing power data centers and related infrastructure, deepening its value within the AI supply chain and aiming to open new drivers for medium- to long-term operational growth.

Chen further pointed out that DRAM shortages are now certain. The three major manufacturers have already sold out their production capacity through 2027, with HBM and AI server-related applications expected to consume nearly 70% of DRAM capacity, leaving very limited supply for PC and mobile applications.

Meanwhile, strong enterprise storage demand is intensifying shortages in NAND Flash and hard disk drives. Overall, DRAM supply will remain insufficient to meet demand through 2027, leaving buyers with virtually no bargaining power and forcing them to continuously purchase inventory. This provides strong support for upward memory pricing and will further boost the operational performance of companies capable of securing supply.

With continued record-breaking performance, ADATA has adopted a semi-annual dividend policy for the first time this year, aiming to allow shareholders to more promptly share in the company’s operational success through a more flexible dividend system. The board today resolved the profit distribution plan for the first half of 2025, proposing a cash dividend of NT$18 per share.

ADATA’s Q2 revenue reached NT$38.14 billion, up 46.1% quarter-on-quarter and 197.4% year-on-year. Gross margin was 42.1%, down 13.6 percentage points quarter-on-quarter but up 23.1 percentage points year-on-year. Operating margin was 33.5%, down 13.6 percentage points QoQ but up 23.9 percentage points YoY. Net profit attributable to owners of the parent was NT$10.4 billion, up 9.1% QoQ and over 10 times YoY, with EPS reaching NT$32.39.

For the first half, revenue totaled NT$64.24 billion, up 182.6% YoY. Gross margin was 47.6%, up 30.9 percentage points YoY. Operating margin was 39%, up 31.3 percentage points YoY. Net profit attributable to the parent was NT$19.94 billion, up 13-fold YoY, with EPS reaching NT$62.46.

ADATA noted that benefiting from the continued recovery in the memory industry and the sustained effectiveness of its procurement and inventory management, Q2 operations achieved a “grand slam,” with all four key performance indicators—revenue, operating profit, post-tax net profit, and EPS—reaching new highs simultaneously.
