Taiwan Excellence established the 'Taiwan Excellence Pavilion' at the '2026 Japan Taiwan Image Exhibition' held in Shinjuku, Tokyo, from July 15 to 17. Centered on the concept of 'Trust Connected, Innovation Linked' and themed around the shared Taiwanese-Japanese cultural motif of 'Kizuna (connection)', the pavilion showcased Taiwan's technological capabilities and high-quality products.

Over the three-day exhibition, the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion hosted 10 product experience sessions, featuring companies such as Jih-Her Industrial, Tu-Yang Biotech, Guang-Han Medical, Fuken International Technology, Tatung (2371-TW), Q-Track Electronics, Gigabyte Technology (2376-TW), Innolux (3481-TW), Merida (9914-TW) Industry, and Delta Electronics (2308-TW). These sessions allowed direct engagement with Japanese consumers and business buyers, highlighting product features and real-world applications.

On the opening day, the Trade Association hosted a VIP guided tour inside the pavilion, with influencer Maya Miyakawa—known for her love of Taiwan—serving as the guide. Guests experienced an interactive light-and-shadow installation symbolizing the Taiwan-Japan connection, capturing the mutual bond through visual storytelling and commemorative photos. Additionally, Acer Cloud Computing showcased 'AI Dual-Machine Collaboration,' demonstrating how the service robot 'Ayuda' and the AI generative model 'Cubi' work in tandem to present next-generation AI applications.

On the afternoon of the first day, Taiwan Excellence invited Japanese entertainer and model Yuna Furukawa to the main stage, alongside the Taiwan Excellence mascot 'Fukuma.' The event, themed 'Taiwan Excellence Future Academy,' cast Yuna as a student and participating company representatives as teachers. Through three interactive classes, they introduced award-winning Taiwan Excellence products in the fields of electronic communications, sports and health, and quality living. Li Wen-Jheng, Director of the Trade Association's Marketing Project Division, delivered a speech as the 'principal' and presented a Fukuma plush doll, inviting the audience to experience the trust and innovation connecting Taiwan and Japan.

In the electronic communications sector, Qiyao Optoelectronics showcased the 'Qiyao AI Transparent Two-Way Translator.' A 100% Taiwan-made product leveraging 20 years of panel technology, it features a self-developed 16.8-inch AM-miniLED transparent display with high brightness, low power consumption, and strong noise-cancellation. Supporting real-time translation in 21 languages, live conversation and tongue-twister tests amazed attendees with their speed and accuracy, highlighting potential applications in airports, overseas travel, and cross-cultural communication.

In the sports and health category, Smile Elements Creative presented the electric-assist bicycle 'Unimoke miniswing Jewel Blue.' Designed with a low-step frame, 16-inch small wheels, and 4.0-inch fat tires, it integrates a Panasonic 48V battery and 9-level electric assist to enhance ease of mounting, riding stability, and safety.

Throughout the three-day event, 10 product experience sessions were held at the Taiwan Excellence Pavilion. Tatung conducted an on-site quiz with prizes, incorporating product history into questions to deepen visitor understanding and foster future business exchanges.
