Ancheng Biotech (6610-TW) announced today (29th) that its candidate new drug AC-203 for treating Epidermolysis Bullosa Simplex (EBS, Bubble Dragon Disease) has presented the latest progress of the global pivotal EBShield Phase 2/3 clinical trial at the 2026 DEBRA Care Conference (DCC). The company also disclosed that several international pharmaceutical companies are actively negotiating licensing agreements.

Ancheng Biotech stated that Dr. Joyce Teng, a renowned dermatology expert from the Stanford University School of Medicine, delivered a keynote speech at DCC titled 'AC-203 EBShield Program – Advancing Clinical Research in EBS,' sharing updates on the EBShield global pivotal clinical trial and discussing AC-203's potential for clinical development in other EB subtypes.

General Manager Tsai Cheng-en noted that the global pivotal clinical trial for AC-203 has entered its final stage. In addition to advancing regulatory submission preparations, the company is simultaneously executing global commercialization strategies and engaging in discussions with multiple international pharmaceutical companies regarding regional licensing and collaboration models.

Currently, Ancheng Biotech’s EBShield global pivotal clinical trial for AC-203 has completed the primary efficacy assessment for the final enrolled participant. The trial results are expected to be announced in the fourth quarter of this year.
