Taichun Technology (6269-TW), a flexible printed circuit board (FPC) manufacturer undergoing transformation, held its earnings conference today (30th). The company released its latest financial results, showing that Taichun's net loss in Q2 2026 narrowed to NT$535 million, with a per-share loss of NT$1.68. For the first half of 2026, the net loss amounted to NT$1.365 billion, with an EPS loss of NT$4.27. Meanwhile, Taichun's gross margin in Q2 rebounded to 4.3%, a significant improvement from the negative 1.4% in Q1.

Taichun's Q2 2026 revenue reached NT$5.38 billion, driven by initial shipments of new products for smart glasses and AI servers, along with higher pricing from next-generation notebook products, leading to an optimized product mix. This product transformation is already beginning to reflect in profitability.

Taichun's Q2 2026 revenue was NT$5.38 billion, with a gross margin of 4.3%, outperforming the negative gross margin in Q1. Additionally, the Q2 net loss was NT$535 million, with a per-share loss of NT$1.68. For H1 2026, revenue totaled NT$10.847 billion, gross margin at 1.4% (down 0.1 percentage points year-on-year), with a net loss of NT$1.365 billion and EPS loss of NT$4.27.

The improvement in Taichun's Q2 2026 gross margin was primarily due to initial shipments of new products for smart glasses and AI servers, which, despite being in the early adoption phase, have started contributing better gross margins. Simultaneously, the mass production of next-generation notebook products for key customers, with new designs commanding higher prices than older models in Q1, also helped enhance profitability.

Regarding its outlook for the second half of 2026, Taichun noted that its ongoing efforts to transform its product structure are gradually yielding results. Operational momentum in the second half is expected to strengthen as customers' new products enter mass production, with a focus on high-growth application areas such as smart mobile devices and AI servers.
