Taiwan's stock market experienced fierce battles between bulls and bears today (30th). After a morning sell-off related to margin financing settlements, the market rebounded nearly 1,000 points, supported by TSMC (2330-TW), UMC (2303-TW), and ABF and CCL-related stocks. However, strong selling pressure emerged in the late session, pushing the index down. The market closed 105.88 points lower at 39,933.30, with a total trading value of NT$1.1 trillion.

Analyzing today's trading activities of the three major institutional investors: foreign investors sold NT$48.312 billion, proprietary traders sold NT$15.227 billion, while trust companies bought NT$12.665 billion. In total, the three major institutions recorded a net sell of NT$50.874 billion.

Market observers note that foreign investors have now sold off for three consecutive days, signaling cautious sentiment from international capital toward Taiwan equities in the short term. Meanwhile, the consistent buying by trust funds suggests underlying domestic institutional demand remains stable.
