Taiwan's stock market has recently experienced significant volatility. On the 30th, the Taiwan Stock Exchange and the Taipei Exchange (TPEx) announced the addition of five stocks to the price monitoring list. These include listed semiconductor equipment manufacturer WLC Corporation (3055-TW), silicon wafer producer Taiseng Semiconductor (3532-TW), PCB equipment maker Dazhong (3167-TW), and fitness equipment manufacturer Lishan Industrial (1515-TW). On the TPEx, semiconductor testing firm Zhongtan Probe (6217-TW) was also added. All will be under price monitoring from tomorrow (31st) until August 13, with trading conducted every 20 minutes.

Lishan Industrial was placed under monitoring due to a cumulative closing price decline of 32.3% over the past six trading days.

WLC Corporation was included due to a 54.7% cumulative decline in closing prices over the past six trading days, and a closing price difference of NT$57.3 between six and two trading days ago.

Dazhong was added due to a 43.76% cumulative decline in closing prices over the past six trading days, and a closing price difference of NT$246 between six and two trading days ago.

Taiseng Semiconductor was included due to a 49.61% cumulative decline in closing prices over the past six trading days, and a closing price difference of NT$144 between six and two trading days ago.

Zhongtan Probe was placed under monitoring due to a 50.42% cumulative decline in final traded prices over the past six trading days (including the current day).

The monitoring period for these five stocks runs from July 31 to August 13. Investors should pay special attention to the artificial prepayment and securities controls, as well as other matching restrictions during trading in these stocks.
