Taiwanese copper-clad laminate (CCL) manufacturer TAIYO YUDEN (6274-TW) reported a net profit of NT$2.342 billion in Q2 2026, representing an 85.87% increase quarter-on-quarter and a 2.59-fold year-on-year surge. Earnings per share (EPS) reached NT$8.02. This brought the company's cumulative net profit for the first half of 2026 to NT$3.602 billion, a 172.1% year-on-year increase, surpassing its full-year profit for 2025. EPS for the first half stood at NT$12.4.

Additionally, TAIYO YUDEN's board of directors resolved to issue domestic unsecured convertible bonds with a maximum total face value of NT$10 billion. The issue price will not be less than 110% of the face value. This fundraising amount exceeds Wus (2313-TW)'s recent issuance of 42,000 new shares raising NT$8.61 billion. Meanwhile, Polytone (8155-TW) is preparing to issue convertible bonds to raise NT$5 billion.

In Q2 2026, TAIYO YUDEN achieved revenue of NT$14.301 billion and a gross margin of 29.72%, up 4.57 percentage points quarter-on-quarter and 8.55 percentage points year-on-year. Net profit was NT$2.342 billion, with EPS at NT$8.02.

For the first half of 2026, the company's revenue reached NT$24.356 billion, with a gross margin of 27.83%, up 5.26 percentage points year-on-year. Operating margin rose to 21.29%, a 7.7 percentage point increase year-on-year. Net profit reached NT$3.602 billion, up 172.1% year-on-year, with EPS of NT$12.4.
