Taiwan-based memory module manufacturer TeamGroup (4967-TW) announced its second-quarter financial results today (3rd), reporting that boosted by continued price increases in DRAM and NAND Flash, its quarterly net profit reached NT$2.412 billion, up 5.14% quarter-on-quarter and a staggering 21,827% year-on-year, with earnings per share (EPS) reaching a record high of NT$26.47. The cumulative EPS for the first half of the year reached NT$53.44.

TeamGroup's Q2 revenue was NT$7.588 billion, down 16.11% quarter-on-quarter but up 66.18% year-on-year. Net profit was NT$2.412 billion, up 5.14% QoQ and 21,827% YoY, with EPS at NT$26.47. For the first half of the year, revenue totaled NT$16.633 billion (up 67.74% YoY), net profit reached NT$4.706 billion (up 3,902% YoY), and EPS stood at NT$53.44.

TeamGroup stated that both its Q2 and first-half profits achieved record highs, driven by stable orders from industrial control and system integration (SI) customers and the visible benefits of its B2B transformation strategy, leading to steady operational growth. The company will continue advancing its transformation strategy and optimizing its product mix, maintaining a positive outlook for H2 operations.

The company noted that global AI infrastructure deployment is driving massive memory demand. Although major DRAM manufacturers are actively expanding capacity, short-term supply-demand imbalances are expected to persist, with the most severe shortage anticipated in the first half of 2027.

According to TrendForce's latest report released at the end of July, the bit-level sufficiency ratio between DRAM supply and demand will reach -1% to -2% in 2026, with the gap expected to widen further in 2027. Due to constraints in equipment delivery, factory construction, and capacity ramp-up timelines, most expansion projects are expected to contribute wafer input volume only from the second half of 2027, with meaningful bit output not materializing until 2028 at the earliest.

In response to ongoing supply tightness, TeamGroup is deepening long-term strategic partnerships with global memory suppliers to secure key materials. The company is focusing on high-value-added applications, providing customized products and technical services for industrial computing, edge computing, and defense and security sectors. As these products complete verification and enter mass production, B2B business contributions are expected to increase further, enhancing operational stability and profit resilience.

Looking ahead to H2, memory prices are expected to continue their upward trend. DRAM contract prices are projected to rise approximately 20% to 25% in Q3 and 15% to 20% in Q4, with channel prices expected to follow suit.

As AI applications expand from cloud to edge and end devices, demand for high-performance, high-capacity memory and storage modules remains structurally strong. Market observers widely expect memory prices to remain in an 'easy to rise, hard to fall' pattern. TeamGroup will continue leveraging its strengths in material sourcing and technical integration, increasing the shipment ratio of high-value enterprise and industrial application products, and optimizing its operational structure to create long-term, stable value for shareholders.
